Common Questions
How much does a solar installation cost?
A typical domestic system (4–6kW) costs between £6,000 and £10,000 depending on roof size, panel choice, and whether battery storage is included. Commercial systems are priced on a per-project basis.
How long does installation take?
Most domestic installations are completed in 1–2 days. Larger commercial projects typically take 3–5 days depending on scale.
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases, solar panels are covered by permitted development rights and don't require planning permission. We'll advise you if your property is an exception (e.g. listed buildings or conservation areas).
What happens on cloudy days?
Solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy days — just at reduced output. A battery storage system can store excess energy from sunny periods for use when generation is lower.
Can I add battery storage?
Yes. We install battery storage systems alongside new solar installations or as a retrofit to existing systems. Battery storage maximises self-consumption and provides backup power.
